When he started his own business as a mosaicist, the first orders were for church mosaics: the name of the church or a coloured compass rose integrated into the fa\u00e7ade. Later on, he proposed ways of the cross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the case of residences, the name of the house was executed in mosaic and placed on the fa\u00e7ade. Charles Carr\u00e8re also produced numerous secular works of decoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Charles Carr\u00e8re’s mosaicist profane work reveals an artist. His works adorn the facades of houses, schools and buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside houses, mosaics sometimes decorate the fireplace. Others are intended to brighten and colour the interior of the house.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
